Text Animation for Compositing and Editing class.

Uploading this as I am going through a short film script for a friend. Weeks have been busy with VFX assignments. Rotoscoping is fun but not with CS5.5 because I can only work in college.

When You Can’t Sleep at Night After Watching an Amazing Movie

Yeah, it’s the funny and occasional sleepless night.

This happens when I watch or read something that totally inspires my mind and sends all this shivers of creative aspirations down my spine.

I just finished watching Julie and Julia. I must admit that I was truly fixated by the acting of Meryl Streep. I just can’t get it out of my head what a wonderful actress she is. She created such a believable Julia Child that taught me so much of a real life person that I have never met before but only heard her name some where.

Aside from that, it has been a rather inspiring day. Had a wonderful day out with Hiba, Sara, Sumithra and Alvin. We had gone for a local musical called CARTOONS in KLPAC and it was a Sunday afternoon well spent. I really like how a simple play about cartoons could have so many political messages and representations in it. To be honest, I saw it coming but to be interpreted in a child like manner as how cartoon characters are, was something intriguing.

Dinner was brilliant with Sara, Sumi, Ashwin and Wee Nie. We had great discussions of movies, literature, fashion, food, society and many more over an amazing meal of pizza, fish pie, salad and chocolate cake at Ben’s.  It’s a passionate discussion mixed with jokes and comfortable recounters of things in the past.

This is what I love. It triggers the mind. For that short moment, I can forget all the troubles in the world and just be present.A wonderful moment without having any negative discussions or snide remarks or bitchy gossiping.

Great company indeed with great food.

And a great movie to wrap up the day.

My mind is just filled with an unexplainable bliss and gratitude as well as an inspired moment to be a better person than before.

Ok, I need to sleep now before the birds start chirping.

Vin Diesel is not only a prolific actor, but he’s also an amazing Director and Producer.

I really love this documentary done by him especially the second last scene in part two of this video. The smooth zooming in as he does his monologue is truly mesmerizing.

Almost biographical but also a reflection of the industry in Hollywood. Worth spending time to watch.
